The Calgary Flames assigned seven players to the AHL's Stockton Heat on Monday, including 2013 first round pick Morgan Klimchuk.
Forwards Matt Frattin, Mark Jankowski and Emile Poirier along with defencemen Ryan Culkin and Oliver Kylington were also sent down as was goaltender Jon Gillies.
The Flames also released defencemen Mikhail Grigorev and Colby Robak.
That leaves 32 players remaining at training camp, including 18 forwards, 11 defencemen and three goalies.
