DUCKS (20-6-5) at JETS (15-9-6)

TV: FS-W, CITY

Season series: The Anaheim Ducks and Winnipeg Jets play for the second time at MTS Centre in the past six days. Right wing Kyle Palmieri's overtime goal gave Anaheim a 4-3 win Dec. 7. Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf had three assists.

Ducks team scope: Anaheim began a five-game road trip with a 4-2 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Friday, their sixth consecutive win. The win, the Ducks' 20th this season, tied them with the Chicago Blackhawks for most in the NHL and gave Anaheim a four-point lead in the overall League standings heading into play Saturday. Before the win, the Ducks' prior 12 wins had been decided by one goal. Palmieri (two goals, three assists) and center Ryan Kesler (four goals, two assists) each have points in four consecutive games. Goaltender Frederik Andersen started for the 17th consecutive game and made 21 saves. Defenseman Ben Lovejoy returned to the Anaheim lineup after missing 21 games with a broken finger. Right wing Corey Perry remains out with a knee injury sustained Dec. 5 against the Minnesota Wild.

Jets team scope: Winnipeg did not practice Friday after returning from a two-game road trip. The Jets lost 4-3 in a shootout against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday, ending their road trip at 1-0-1; they have earned least one point for eight consecutive games (5-0-3). Saturday begins a four-game homestand for the Jets, who are playing nine of 13 games at MTS Centre in December. Left wing Evander Kane will return from his two-game suspension, and the Jets returned center Patrice Cormier to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League on Friday to make room on the roster. With coach Paul Maurice rotating his goaltenders, Michael Hutchinson is expected to start Saturday. Defensemen Zach Bogosian (lower body), Grant Clitsome (undisclosed) and Toby Enstrom (lower body) are out for Winnipeg.
