Friday night was a good night for scoring streaks in Barrie.
Daniel Catenacci scored a pair of goals to lead the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds to a 6-5 victory over the Barrie Colts in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.
Catenacci, who extended his current goal streak to six games, has now picked up a point in 19 of his last 20 contests.
The Colts' Mark Scheifele and Darren Archibald had three and two helpers, respectively. Both are now riding six-game assist streaks.
Ryan Sproul helped Sault Ste. Marie's cause with his first career OHL goal.
The Greyhounds went 2-for-7 on the power play, while Barrie was 2-for-6. The two teams came into the game with the worst penalty kill percentages in the league.
Greyhounds goaltender Chris Perugini turned aside 26 shots in a winning effort.
Barrie's Clint Windsor gave up four goals on 16 shots before being replaced by Peter Di Salvo, who made 15 saves in relief.
Elsewhere in the OHL it was: Sarnia 5 Oshawa 4 (SO); Peterborough 4 Plymouth 1; Erie 7 Kitchener 3; Saginaw 5 Windsor 2; London 5 Guelph 3 and Owen Sound 6 Sudbury 0.
At Barrie, Ont., Trevor Morbeck, Brett Thompson, and Nick Cousins had the other markers for Sault Ste. Marie (10-12-4).
Taylor Carnevale notched his second hat trick of the season in a losing cause for the Colts (4-19-1). Stephen Gaskin also tallied.

At Sarnia, Ont., Christian Thomas and Nicklas Jensen scored in the shootout as Oshawa edged the Sting.
Josh Graves scored twice for the Generals (14-6-4), while Jeff Brown and Thomas had singles.
Tyler Peters struck twice for Sarnia (11-11-4), while Brandon Alderson and Nail Yakupov added markers.

At Plymouth, Mich., Alan Quine had a hat trick as Peterborough sunk the Whalers.
Centre Joey West had the other marker for the Petes (6-16-2).
Jay Gilbert was the lone scorer for Plymouth (13-10-2).

At Erie, Pa., the Otters set a season high in goals behind Phil Varone's hat trick and Greg McKegg's two goals in a win against Kitchener.
Jeremy Gottzmann and Matthew Paton had the other goals for Erie (12-14-1).
Cody Sol had his first goal of the season for the Rangers (17-6-1), while reliable scorers Ryan Murphy and Gabriel Landeskog chipped in as well.

At Saginaw, Mich., Josh Shalla scored a team-record four goals and Vincent Trocheck assisted on all of them to lift the Spirit over Windsor.
Micky Sartoretto opened scoring for Saginaw (18-5-4).
Eric Locke and Derek Lanoue replied for Windsor (14-10-1).

At Guelph, Ont., Seth Griffith struck twice and added an assist as London blew by the Storm.
Jared Knight scored and had two assists for the Knights (12-9-3), while Kevin Raine and Michael Moffat chipped in as well.
Taylor Beck had a goal and set up two others for Guelph (10-11-3), while Carter Sandlak and Tyler Carroll added singles.

At Owen Sound, Ont., Jordan Binnington stopped all 26 shots he faced as the Attack downed Sudbury.
Mike Halmo scored twice for Owen Sound (17-5-2), while Jesse Blacker had a goal and set up two others. Andrew Fritsch had a marker and an assist, while Gemel Smith and Garrett Wilson also tallied.
Brendan O'Neill stopped 42 shots for Sudbury (7-17-1).
