DETROIT (AP)—Jiri Hudler(notes) scored twice and the Detroit Red Wings beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 7-3 in an preseason game on Friday night.
Niklas Kronwall(notes) and Johan Franzen(notes) each had a goal and an assist and Jan Mursak(notes), Jakub Kindl(notes), and Henrik Zetterberg(notes) also scored for Detroit (3-3-0). Thomas McCollum(notes) made 16 saves and Joey MacDonald(notes) stopped three shots.
Phil Kessel(notes) had a goal and an assist and Tyler Bozak(notes) and Mikhail Grabovsky also scored for Toronto (4-3-1). Jussi Rynnas(notes) made 27 saves.
