Forward Colby Armstrong has signed a three-year, $9 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The 27-year-old spent the last two and a half seasons with the Atlanta Thrashers. In the 2009-10, Armstrong had 15 goals and 14 assists in 79 games.
Armstrong, a native of Lloydminster, B.C., was originally selected by the Penguins 21st overall in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
The Leafs also signed forward Joey Crabb to a two-way deal.
