Forward Manny Malhotra has signed a three-year, $7.5 million contract with the Vancouver Canucks, a deal that includes a no-trade clause.
The 30-year-old native of Mississauga, Ontario spent last season with the San Jose Sharks, registering 14 goals and 19 assists, and played very well for the team in the post-season.
Prior to his time with the Sharks, Malhotra had stints with the Rangers, Stars and Blue Jackets.
He was originally drafted seventh overall by the Rangers in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
The Canucks also signed centre Joel Perrault to a one-year contract. The 27-year-old spent most of last season in the AHL.
