Re: [SurroundSound] New Rapidshare Plans

Seems to me a group effort could replenish the material, but I'm betting that won't be a popular idea with most preferring to use the hub.  I plan to look into my listserv idea tomorrow as well.  Also plan to rip some vinyls tomorrow....

{allcanada} Comic Con 2010: Zachary Levi, Joshua Jackson, Maggie Q and more bring Warner Bros. star power

Diabetes Friendly Low-Carb Gift Baskets
ollywood is invading San Diego once again for the 2010 Comic-Con event. For a TV lover, there's nothing cooler than the chance to mingle with the objects of our obsession. This year, get ready for an overload of star power.

Warner Bros. is presenting a whopping 14 series with a 3,000 square-foot booth for signings, demos, and giveaways -- and they're bringing their most famous faces with them. The cast of the insanely popular "The Big Bang Theory" will be in the house - yes, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, SImon Helberg, and Kunal Nayyar in the house. Wil Wheaton will moderate the panel, which includes both Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady.

"Chuck" stars Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Joshua Gomez, Ryan McPartlin, Mark Christopher Lawrence, VIk Sahay, Scott Krinsky, Sarah Lancaster, and Adam Baldwin will be there with executive producers Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. The "Fringe" presentation will include Anna Torv, Josh Jackson, John Noble, Lance Reddik, Blair Brown, and producers Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman.

"V" is bringing along plenty of stars as well. Expect to see Elizabeth Mitchell, Morris Chestnut, Joel Gretsch, Logan Huffman, Laura Vandervoort, Charles Mesure, Morena Baccarin, and Scott Wolf in the house. For fans of "Human Target," Mark Valley, Chi McBride, and Jackie Earle Haley will join executive producer Matthew Miller.

CW fans, don't miss the stars of the brand new series "Nikita:" Maggie Q, Shane West, and Lyndsy Fonseca will be there with executive producer Craig Silverstein. All of your favorite vampires will be there as well -- don't miss Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, and Paul Wesley -- plus resident vampire hunter Matt Davis and the not-quite-werewolf Michael Trevino from "The Vampire Diaries."

Of course, this leaves one question. Which series stars from "Supernatural" and "Smallville" will be in the house? Will Tom Welling make it to San Diego one last time before "Smallville" ends in 2011?

{allcanada} Queen Elizabeth II unveils Oscar Peterson monument

Diabetes Friendly Low-Carb Gift Baskets
Queen Elizabeth II unveils Oscar Peterson monument

OTTAWA (AFP) – Queen Elizabeth II unveiled a life-size statue of Canadian jazz legend Oscar Peterson sitting at his piano on Wednesday, during the third day of her Canadian visit.

After appearing to stumble out of her limousine at the National Arts Centre where the bronze statue will be displayed publicly, Canada's titular head of state pulled a yellow cord to unveil the monument.

She was joined by Peterson's family for the unveiling.

Dressed in a robin's egg blue dress and matching hat, the British monarch also toured a Victorian museum where a female security guard gushed, "She's beautiful." Elizabeth also planted a tree in the governor general's yard, and was to have a private chat with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper in the afternoon.

Earlier, several hundred people applauded her arrival to the Canadian capital.

Peterson released more than 200 recordings and toured the world, performing in concerts with Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie and Duke Ellington, and others.

The jazz virtuoso performed for the queen and her husband in Toronto in 2002.

The fourth of five children, Peterson grew up in a predominantly black neighborhood of Montreal, learning to play the piano from his father and sister Daisy.

He would later drop out of high school to become a professional pianist, earning a reputation as a technically brilliant and inventive jazz pianist. His most memorable compositions include Canadiana Suite and Hymn to Freedom, inspired by the US civil rights movement in the 1960s.

Peterson died of kidney failure in 2007.

The queen is visiting Canada with her husband Prince Philip.

During her 22nd official tour of the country, the 84-year-old monarch addresses the nation on Canada Day on Thursday.

She will also travel to Winnipeg, Manitoba to attend a horse race, and then wrap up her tour in Toronto, where she is due to visit Research in Motion, the maker of the popular BlackBerry device.

{allcanada} June ends in a whimper

Lingerie.com Wal-Mart.com USA, LLC

CLEVELAND -- Aaron Laffey allowed one run over six-plus innings and the Cleveland Indians beat the Toronto Blue Jays 3-1 on Wednesday night for their fourth straight win.

Laffey (1-2), who gave up five hits and struck out five, was 0-8 in nine starts and 29 appearances at the major league level since beating Minnesota last Aug. 16. It was the left-hander's second start since being recalled from the minors on Saturday. He was optioned to triple-A Columbus on May 30.

Matt LaPorta and Shin-Soo Choo hit solo home runs for Cleveland, which matched its longest win streak of the season following a season-worst seven-game losing streak. The Indians will seek their first four-game home sweep since May 25-28, 2009, against Tampa Bay, when they host the Blue Jays on Thursday.

Toronto has lost four straight, eight of 10 overall and is 3-11 in its last 14 road games.

Chris Perez pitched a perfect ninth for his seventh save in 10 chances. He closed in place of Kerry Wood, who had three saves in three days.

Choo put Cleveland ahead 1-0 with a 422-foot home run off Jesse Litsch (0-3) with one out in the first. It was Choo's fifth homer in his last eight games and 13th of the season.

LaPorta's second homer in two nights, off reliever Shawn Camp in the seventh, made it 3-1.

Carlos Santana had an RBI single in the sixth inning for Cleveland.

Toronto loaded the bases in the fifth on a two-out double by Aaron Hill and two walks. Laffey got out of the jam by striking out Fred Lewis.

John Buck singled to open the seventh. Buck was running when Lyle Overbay hit a line drive off the glove of a leaping LaPorta at first base for his 1,000th career hit. The single put Blue Jays on first and third and finished Laffey.

Reliever Frank Herrmann got Hill to pop out to second on the first pitch. Nick Green then grounded a single up the middle to score Buck, cutting Cleveland's lead to 2-1. Shortstop Jason Donald smothered the ball with a dive, but could not get an out.

Herrmann ended the threat by striking out pinch-hitter Adam Lind and Lewis, who fouled off five consecutive pitches before finally being retired. Lind's out dropped him into a 2-for-20 (.100) slump.

Litsch gave up two runs and four hits over six innings. The right-hander has been inconsistent in four starts since returning June 13, a year and one day after having Tommy John surgery. After throwing seven innings in a 3-0 victory over San Francisco on June 19, he allowed six runs and walked four in four innings of a 9-0 loss to Philadelphia on Saturday.

NOTES: Toronto manager Cito Gaston moved Buck up to fifth in the lineup and dropped Hill to seventh, using the 2B as the DH. Hill went 1 for 4 and has hit only .139 (5 of 36) in his last 10 games. ... Toronto leads the majors with 115 homers, but has none in three games. ... LaPorta is 4 for 9 in the series and 6 for 15 against the Blue Jays this season. ... Cleveland has homered in 18 of its last 23 games.

{allcanada} Canucks make qualifying offers to four restricted free agents

Lingerie.com Wal-Mart.com USA, LLC

The Vancouver Canucks submitted qualifying offers to all four of their restricted free agents on Monday, though there is little chance that Mason Raymond accepts his.

The Canucks winger, who scored 25 goals last season, was tendered a one-year deal worth $708,000 (all currencies U.S.).

The 24-year-old Calgary native had 53 points during the 2009-10 NHL season, and is eligible for arbitration. It is also possible that the Canucks and Raymond work out contract details before heading to arbitration.

The others receiving qualifying offers include defenceman Shane O'Brien ($1.6 million), and wingers Jannik Hansen ($605,000) and Tanner Glass ($550,000). All have arbitration rights.

O'Brien, whose off-ice behaviour led to a team-imposed banishment last year, has already indicated that he has no stomach for the arbitration process because of the case the Canucks could present against him.

After trading wingers Michael Grabner and Steve Bernier to the Florida Panthers at the entry draft last week, Hansen and Glass are no longer buried down the depth chart and could see their roles increase if the Canucks do not add forwards in free agency, or if top prospects Cody Hodgson and Jordan Schroeder fail to make the team in training camp.

{allcanada} LIONS' PRINTERS AMONG PLAYERS TO WATCH THIS SEASON

Wal-Mart.com USA, LLC

Casey Printers is once again the man for the B.C. Lions.

The veteran quarterback's football future was in doubt when he was released by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats prior to the 2009 season but got a new lease on life with the injurty-plagued Lions late last year.

The six-foot-two, 216-pounder showed flashes of brilliance in his return to B.C., completing 43 of 68 passes (63.2 per cent) for 686 yards with three touchdowns against two interceptions. Although he only earned one win in his five starts for the Lions, that victory was a 34-27 overtime decision over Hamilton in the East Division semifinal.

That win was vindication for Printers, who never lived up to expectations during two miserable seasons in Hamilton upon his return to the CFL after being released by the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs. More importantly, Printers showed enough to convince the Lions he was their full-time starter as the club released veteran Buck Pierce and signed Printers to a new deal in the off-season.

Printers' tenure in pro football has been eventful.

He joined the Lions as an unheralded free agent in 2003 and spent the season on the sidelines.

He got his chance when incumbent Dave Dickenson was injured the following year. Printers stepped in admirably, completing 65.8 per cent of his passes for 5,088 yards while also rushing for 469 yards en route to earning the CFL's outstanding player award.

But when the Lions faced Toronto in the Grey Cup, it was Dickenson who earned the start in the Argonauts' 27-19 victory in Ottawa.

A quarterback controversy ensued in B.C. the following year, with Printers being hampered by injuries. At season's end, Printers turned down a reported three-year, $1.2-million offer from the Lions to sign a three-year deal with the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs said to be worth US$1.03 million.

After spending most of the '06 campaign on the Chiefs' practice roster, Printers was released prior to the '07 season. He signed a long-term deal with Hamilton on Sept. 6, 2007 reportedly worth $500,000 annually that would have made him the league's highest-paid player.

But that didn't translate into on-field success as Printers dressed for just 23 games over the next two years with Hamilton, registering nearly three times as many interceptions (17) than touchdown passes (six). The Ticats released Printers on Feb. 19, 2009.

Here's a look at other CFL players to watch this season.

Ken-Yon Rambo, WR, Calgary Stampeders: The Stampeders were the CFL's best team in 2008 and Rambo was a big part of that success. The six-foot-one, 207-pound former Ohio State Buckeye led the league in receiving with 100 catches for 1,473 yards and also had a CFL-high 10 touchdown grabs. But Rambo's 2009 campaign was cut short -- the result of a season-ending knee injury in a 48-10 victory over the B.C. Lions. Rambo required surgery to repair his anterior cruciate ligament after his right leg buckled while being tackled by Lions linebacker Javier Glatt. With the Stampeders dealing veteran receiver Jeremaine Copeland to Toronto this off-season, the club needs a healthy and productive Rambo in 2010.

Buck Pierce, QB, Winnipeg Blue Bombers: Pierce spent five productive years with the B.C. Lions but also battled an assortment of injuries during his time with the CFL club and became expendable with Printers' re-emergence in B.C. Last season, Pierce suffered a concussion in a game against Toronto and had his season end due to a shoulder ailment. But when healthy, the 28-year-old is a solid quarterback, something the Bombers are counting on. The former New Mexico State star compiled a 21-12-1 record with the Lions, passing for 8,734 yards and 48 touchdowns with 31 interceptions.

Barrin Simpson, LB, Saskatchewan Roughriders: A tackling machine for most of his CFL career, Simpson became embroiled in a messy public spat last year with Winnipeg head coach Mike Kelly following the decision to place Simpson on the nine-game injured list and thus end his season. The five-foot-11, 230-pound Simpson is entering his 10th CFL season and despite last year's controversy shows no signs of slowing down. He led the Bombers in tackles with 84 and three times in his career has accumulated 100 or more tackles in a season. Simpson, who is an ordained minister, leads by example and that leadership is something the Riders will be looking to fill the void created with the off-season retirement of defensive back Eddie Davis.

Jason Clermont, SB, Saskatchewan Roughriders: Much was expected when Clermont signed with the home-town Riders last year after being released by the B.C. Lions. But the six-foot-two, 227-pound Clermont, three times a 1,000-yard receiver during seven seasons in Vancouver, had just 23 catches for 317 yards and no TDs, all career lows, in a very trying first year with the Riders that included being a healthy scratch for two games. The expectation this year is Clermont, the CFL's top rookie in 2002 and its outstanding Canadian in 2004 and '07, will become a bigger part of Saskatchewan's offensive game plan.

Rob Maver, K, Calgary Stampeders: Cracking a starting lineup as a rookie is pressure enough but Maver faces having to replace a departed all-star in Sandro DeAngelis, now with Hamilton. DeAngelis was a big part of Calgary's Grey Cup-winning team in 2008, kicking five field goals in the 22-14 win over Montreal to be named the game's top Canadian. In five seasons with the Stampeders, DeAngelis hit 218-of-260 field goal attempts (83.8 per cent). In his final season at Guelph, Maver led the Ontario University Athletics Conference in field-goal percentage (92.9) and punting (41.3-yard average) as Calgary took him fifth overall in this year's draft.

Anthony Calvillo, QB, Montreal Alouettes: At age 37, Calvillo is showing no signs of slowing down. He's captured the CFL's outstanding player award the last two seasons and led Montreal to consecutive Grey Cup appearances, winning last year. The 16-year veteran has flourished the last two years under head coach Marc Trestman, passing for more than 10,000 yards with 69 TDs and just 19 interceptions over that span. Calvillo has 63,322 career passing yards with 350 TD tosses, leaving him within reach of Damon Allen's career marks of 72,381 yards and 394 TD strikes. Although whether Calvillo plays long enough to break those records remains the question because he has always said he takes his football future one year at a time.

Jamal Robertson, RB, B.C. Lions: The veteran tailback was one of the few bright spots last year with a Toronto Argonauts team that posted a league-worst 3-15 record. Robertson, 33, ran for 1,031 yards and averaged a solid 4.9 yards per carry. He ran for 1,676 yards and scored 15 touchdowns in two seasons with Toronto, adding 86 catches for 753 yards and a TD. The Lions are in the market for a hard-running tailback after last year's starter Martell Mallett, who rushed for 1,240 yards, signed with the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles in the off-season, and veteran Ian Smart was released.

Otis Floyd, Jamall Johnson, Markeith Knowlton, LBs, Hamilton Tiger-Cats: This trio forms what's arguably the top linebacking corps in the CFL. Johnson led the league in tackles last year with 108 -- the only player to surpass the century mark -- while Knowlton was third overall with 94. Floyd, an 11-year CFL veteran, finished third on the team with 67 tackles but that total was just two less than his career high, registered in 2007 with B.C. The three linebackers anchored a defence that last year allowed 23.8 points a game -- second-lowest in the CFL -- and helped guide Hamilton to its first home playoff game since 2001 and first playoff appearance in five seasons.

Cleo Lemon, QB, Toronto Argonauts: He comes to the CFL with prior experience as an NFL starter, but Lemon embarks on his first season of Canadian football with the weight of a rebuilding franchise on his shoulders. Toronto has won just seven games the last two years combined is looking to return to the CFL playoffs for the first time in three seasons. The harsh reality is Lemon's ability to learn on the fly will help determine the Argos' fate this season. The six-foot-two, 215-pounder, who spent six seasons with four teams in the NFL, has the arm strength needed on the wider, longer Canadian field but is also very mobile.

{allcanada} Ducks make trade with Calgary, re-sign Levasseur

Mrs. Fields Gifts, Inc

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP)—The Anaheim Ducks have acquired forward Jason Jaffray(notes) from the Calgary Flames in exchange for left wing Logan MacMillan(notes).

Also on Wednesday, the Ducks re-signed minor-league goalie Jean-Philippe Levasseur(notes) to a one-year contract extension.

Jaffray went scoreless in three games with the Flames last season after playing 33 games over the previous two seasons with the Vancouver Canucks. He played 72 games for Abbotsford of the AHL last season, leading the Heat with 54 points and a plus-24 rating.

MacMillan was a first-round pick by Anaheim in 2007, but spent most of last season with Bakersfield of the ECHL.

Levasseur went 8-16-1 for Springfield of the AHL last season, also playing in the ECHL and the CHL.

[SurroundSound] Re: PLEASE READ: The end of the road for the "Archive" blog

Richard,

Sorry to hear about this one. I'm kind of in the same boat. Will have
to make some tough decisions pretty soon, too.

I'm toying with the idea of having two smaller accounts (cheaper
rates). Or maybe switching to a collector account (those are free I
think). But I'm not sure if you can still get 'em or how they work.

Tough choices indeed.

RS sends mixed messages lately. I don't really get it.

See you on the hub?

{allcanada} Kick Off

Mrs. Fields Gifts, Inc

Jeremaine Copeland has been anxiously waiting for the 2010 CFL season to start.

The all-star receiver will open the 2010 campaign in Calgary, where he spent five seasons and won a Grey Cup before being dealt to Toronto in the off-season for receiver P. K. Sam. Copeland says he'll be out to prove a point when the Argonauts open the season at McMahon Stadium against the Stampeders on Thursday.

"Ever since I was traded I've circled this day on my calendar," Copeland said. "I loved being in Calgary and am looking forward to going up against my old friends. It's going to be competitive but it's going to be fun.

"Of course I have a little bit of a chip on my shoulders because of how it went down. I would love to go out there and win and start off our season 1-0."

The Montreal Alouettes and Saskatchewan Roughriders officially kick off the 2010 campaign in Regina on Thursday. It will be a rematch of last year's Grey Cup, which the Alouettes won with a thrilling 28-27 decision, thanks in large part to the Riders taking a too many men penalty that allowed kicker Damon Duval a second shot at the game-winning field goal.

On Friday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Paul LaPolice will make his CFL head-coaching debut with the Bombers.

The opening week of the season concludes Saturday with the B.C. Lions in Edmonton to face the Eskimos.

The six-foot-two, 195-pound Copeland was a productive player in Calgary, three times surpassing the 1,000-yard receiving plateau. Last season was his best as a Stampeder, registering 81 catches for 1,235 yards and 12 TDs.

Those are enviable stats for an Argos offence that was ranked second-last in the CFL last year in passing (229.3 yards per game).

Copeland won't be the only former Stampeder returning to Calgary.

Head coach Jim Barker begins his second tenure in Toronto, leading the Argos to a 9-9 record and playoff berth in '99 before being swept up in the club's ownership change. Barker spent five seasons in the Stampeders' front office before returning to the sidelines with the Double Blue.

Barker was given the difficult task of revamping an Argos team that's missed the CFL playoffs the last two years and won just seven games combined over that span. Like Copeland, Barker is excited about the prospect of starting the season in Calgary.

"I've got a lot of friends and family there and it's just exciting to be able to go there," he said. "I think it's fitting that my first game back as a head coach is in Calgary.

"To be able to play a top team right out of the game and see where we're at is exciting for me."

Copeland and Barker both earned Grey Cup rings in 2008 with Calgary. Last year, the Stampeders finished second in the West Division behind Saskatchewan before losing the Riders in the conference final.

Copeland and Barker won't have to wait long for a rematch with Calgary. The Stampeders are in Toronto the third week of the season.

"I kind of like it that it's all early," Copeland said. "We've got them the first game, then the third game and then it's all over with and the rest of the season goes on.

"I don't think this could've worked out better. All the fans that are upset about it, we can all get it out of our head and put us in the past after the first three weeks."

Toronto will start CFL rookie Cleo Lemon at quarterback against Calgary although Lemon does have previous pro experience in the NFL. But Copeland says he's been busy sharing his knowledge of the Canadian game with Lemon.

"One thing about this league is you definitely know the difference between the NFL and coming to the CFL," Copeland said. "You've got to understand the size of the field and one thing I think what helps Cleo is he's got a strong arm so he can make that throw out and not have to worry about having it picked off going back for seven the other way.

"A lot of quarterbacks can't do that so he does have an advantage. I really think overall the thing to remember is to have an understanding of this league and not be afraid to dump the ball off five yards on second and 10 to your playmakers and let them make plays."

And that includes the quarterback not being afraid to make things happen himself.

"Sometimes the quarterback does have to use his legs to get downfield," Copeland said. "That's what (Calgary's) Henry Burris does best.

"He's going to get downfield and get about 20 yards out of you just on a quarterback draw or quarterback keep."

Throughout his CFL career, Copeland has been one of the more innovative players when it comes to unique touchdown dances. During his time in Calgary, he combined with flamboyant Nik Lewis to perform a "human bicycle" in 2005 and the infamous "bobsled" with an end-zone pylon in 2006.

So what does Copeland have in mind should he score Thursday?

"I've thought about it a lot but I don't know," he said with a chuckle. "I don't know what I'm going to do or how I'm going to act if I do get into the end zone.

"We'll have to see."

{allcanada} Reports: Bosh to join Wade in Miami

Mrs. Fields Gifts, Inc

As one of the most impressive NBA free agent classes prepares to hit the open market, the rumour mill continues to churn.

The latest report involving Chris Bosh is that the free agent forward has decided to join Dwyane Wade in Miami through a sign-and-trade deal that will send Michael Beasley, Mario Chalmers and Joel Anthony to the Toronto Raptors.

This latest speculation comes only days after one league executive said Bosh would sign with the Chicago Bulls along with the star of this year's free agent class, LeBron James.

When free agency starts on Thursday, Bosh knows the money will be coming, perhaps a US$95-million deal if he joins a new team, maybe $125 million if he stays with the Toronto Raptors. His decision -- stay or go, and if go, then go where? -- will hinge on just one thing, that being where he will have the best chance of winning a title.

"My only priority," Bosh said, "is winning."

The Raptors want him, though general manager Bryan Colangelo acknowledged this week that the team believes Bosh is gone. He's as coveted as his Olympic teammates LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, possibly might even team up with one or both of them. The Knicks, the Heat, the Bulls, depending on who you ask, they're all the favourites to be Bosh's next team.

No one knows for certain. In an interview with The Associated Press, Bosh insisted he doesn't know, either.

"Honestly, I'm ready to get this thing over with," Bosh told The AP earlier this week. "When the time is right, I want to start aggressively negotiating with everybody and talk to everybody, to get this thing over with. Because you know, it's been a four-year thing now and people have been talking about it for at least two years. We're well past it. I'm well past it. It's time to get it over with."

And at 12:07 a.m. Wednesday, less than 24 hours to the official start to Free Agent Mania, Bosh posted a clear sign of his excitement on his Twitter feed.

"After all these years... Just 24 hrs left..... Wow. I'm getting anxious," Bosh wrote.

He's quietly put up massive numbers since jumping to the NBA after one season at Georgia Tech.

Bosh is one of only three players -- Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan are the others -- with at least 10,000 points, 4,500 rebounds and 600 blocked shots over the last seven seasons. He's averaged a double-double in three of his seven years, and coming off a season where he put up career-highs of 24.0 points, 10.8 rebounds and 52 per cent shooting.

"It's been great to see him grow as a player," said Bosh's college coach, Georgia Tech's Paul Hewitt. "The Chris Bosh I know has never been about his personal numbers. He only cares about winning. Whomever gets this kid is going to get a great one."

At times, it's almost like Bosh is a forgotten great one.

Bosh came into the NBA as part of that bonanza class in 2003, with James going No. 1, Carmelo Anthony No. 3, himself No. 4 and Wade No. 5.

James is a two-time MVP. Wade's an NBA champion and a finals MVP.

Bosh has been to the playoffs just twice, never winning a series.

And it's clearly grating on him, which is why just about everyone in the NBA expects he'll leave Toronto, though Bosh insists he'll listen to the Raptors and that they remain very much in his thought process.

"He's played the same number of years as Dwyane and LeBron," Thomas said. "The furthest he's gone is the first round of the playoffs. Never really been on a team that felt like they had a chance to win something. This is a kid that won a state championship on an undefeated team his senior year of high school in Dallas. He hasn't really been on a great team since."

Free agency should change that.

With a new close-cropped haircut (no more dreads) and perhaps a new outlook, Bosh was in Miami this past weekend, appearing at a charity golf tournament, spending time near the water, largely shutting himself off from the outside world -- some calm before the free agent storm. It's already underway, of course, with plenty of speculation that Bosh already knows if he'll join Wade, James or both next season.

"I've been saying all along, anybody that says they know what's happening is nonsense," Colangelo said earlier this week on Toronto radio station The Fan 590. "There is all sorts of different things you could talk about, different pictures you could paint."

True, but the possibility is very real, as evidenced by Toronto's decision on draft night to take North Carolina's Ed Davis -- who could slide into Bosh's lineup spot if the all-star leaves Canada this summer.

Should Bosh make that decision and choose to align with another star, Hewitt says he'll be fine sharing the work and the spotlight.

"A lot of guys get upset when they don't get their numbers," Hewitt said. "Chris only gets upset when we lose."

He's done too much of that for his liking.

Five NBA seasons with no playoffs, seven seasons with no championship, Bosh sounds like someone who's ready for a new beginning. If he eventually signs to play alongside either Wade or James, he'll probably be closer to a title with a few strokes of a pen than he ever was in Toronto.

Months of talking and years of thinking later, Bosh can't wait for the process to get going.

"I want the situation that will best make me happy," Bosh said. "That's what I've always said. There are a lot of teams that are going to come, including the Raptors. There's a lot of things I'm going to have to think about."

[SurroundSound] Re: The Beatles Alternative Love DVD-A

Yeah, it was simply that blackbirdr wasn't on at that point. The
alternative sounds great and has some very innovative mash-ups. Nice.

[SurroundSound] New Rapidshare Plans

Guys
We need to discuss this one as it has seriously curtailed OD and perhaps we need to decide whether or not we ultimately move to deposit files or flefactory or whatever.

This is what I discussed with OD today on the subject, so it is my take, please correct me where I am wrong:

"RS's change is strangely geared away from individuals to large entities. I think if you also read it there is a licence disclaimer version which the file owner then takes the rap. Therefore I think the model is geared towards low volume/bandwidth downloads and not large volume/high bandwidth; which are placed in the realm of the corporate or large volume user. (My view is) It would make your blog unsustainable unless you post things and remove them cyclically.
Oddly it also turns the focus away from the FLAC and back to MP3 because of the lower bandwidth.

We will now see how it affects RS financially as I think many folk will not renew and shift to File factory et al.... - they are already claiming they now are the largest provider.

A also think that if I were a business provider I would seriously look hard at a company that changes a fundamental service offering without consultation and with very little warning. The two services should have been run in parallel to phase the new service in and that way they could judge the performance of the new product."

So please comments

cheers
Lokks
