The Vancouver
The Canucks winger, who scored 25 goals last season, was tendered a one-year deal worth $708,000 (all currencies U.S.).
The 24-year-old Calgary native had 53 points during the 2009-10
The others receiving qualifying offers include defenceman Shane O'Brien ($1.6 million), and wingers Jannik Hansen ($605,000) and Tanner Glass ($550,000). All have arbitration rights.
O'Brien, whose off-ice behaviour led to a team-imposed banishment last year, has already indicated that he has no stomach for the arbitration process because of the case the Canucks could present against him.
After trading wingers Michael Grabner and Steve Bernier to the Florida Panthers at the entry draft last week, Hansen and Glass are no longer buried down the depth chart and could see their roles increase if the Canucks do not add forwards in free agency, or if top prospects Cody Hodgson and Jordan Schroeder fail to make the team in training camp.
