The Edmonton Oilers have recalled goaltender Stuart Skinner from their taxi squad on an emergency basis, the team announced Thursday. In a corresponding move, the club also loaned defence prospect Evan Bouchard to the taxi squad and reassigned forward Tyler Benson to its AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors.
Mike Smith is expected to start Thursday in the second half of their back-to-back against the Vancouver Canucks after Mikko Koskinen got the nod in the opener.
