The Calgary Flames say they will be without backup goaltender David Rittich for Thursday's game against the Winnipeg Jets because of a family issue.

Louis Domingue has been activated from the taxi squad along with Derek Ryan. Artyom Zagidulin has been recalled from the AHL's Stockton Heat and will be placed on the taxi squad.

Ryan took part in the team's morning skate, rotating with Dominik Simon in line rushes on the third line. Domingue will dress as the team's backup behind starter Jacob Markstrom.

The Jets will host the Flames on Sportsnet West and SN Now starting at 6 p.m. MT/7 p.m. CT.
