With the NHL off-season now in full swing, the Edmonton Oilers and defenceman Oscar Klefbom are considering options on how to deal with injuries from last season.
According to Elliotte Friedman, Klefbom is weighing the possibility of having surgery that could keep him out long-term. The 27-year-old defenceman played in 62 of Edmonton's 71 games this season, but was out of the lineup from mid-February until early March with a shoulder injury. He had five goals and 29 assists on the season.
Klefbom played in all four of Edmonton's playoff games, registering two assists.
If Klefbom is forced to miss time next season (whenever that is), it's believed the Oilers would want to fill that possible absence during this off-season.
