Connor McDavid highlights the players confirmed to play for Team Canada at the upcoming IIHF World Championship.
Joining McDavid will be his Edmonton Oilers teammate Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, former teammate and current New York Islanders player Jordan Eberle, Calder Trophy candidate Matthew Barzal, Islanders defenceman Ryan Pulock, Vancouver Canucks forward Bo Horvat, Buffalo Sabres forward Ryan O'Reilly, and Senators defenceman Thomas Chabot, according to multiple reports.

"Going to World Championship is not where you want to be playing in May. But ultimately, it's so special to represent your country," McDavid said Sunday, via the Oilers.
McDavid is this season's Art Ross Trophy winner after finishing first in the league in points with 41 goals and 67 assists in 82 games.
The 21-year-old was part of Canada's 2016 gold medal-winning squad at the Worlds, when he registered nine points in 10 games.

Nugent-Hopkins played in 62 games for the Oilers this season, finishing with 24 goals and 24 assists.
Horvat, meanwhile, finished the season with 22 goals and 22 assists in 64 games for the Canucks.
Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin has reportedly not been asked by Team Canada, according to TSN's John Lu.
