{allcanada} Argos to reduce capacity at BMO Field

The Toronto Argonauts will close off the upper east side of BMO Field for the 2018 season, reducing the stadium's capacity to just under 20,000, according to a report from TSN's Dave Naylor.

New Argonauts president Bill Manning said the goal is to add a few thousand fans per game and sell out the new capacity a few times per season. The move is also expected to create a better football atmosphere. Tickets for Argos game will be reduced for next season as well.

The Argos also announced there will be no more tailgating ahead of games, with Manning saying the costs outweighed the benefits of the experience the past two seasons.
