SASKATOON, Sask. - Kevin Lacroix is just fast no matter where he races this season.
The NASCAR Pinty's Series championship points leader enters the Velocity Prairie Thunder Twin 100s at Wyant Group Raceway winner of all three races on road courses this season and now he's showing everyone he's also fast on oval tracks too.
The St. Eustache, Quebec, driver paced the field with a fast lap time of 14.713 seconds (81.479 mph) during the one-hour practice session around the third-mile oval.
Alex Labbe was second at 14.762 seconds with Noel Dowler third and D.J. Kennington fourth. Cayden Lapcevich, the defending series champion and winner at Wyant Group Raceway last year, completed the top five.
It was an action-packed practice session with the yellow flag given to the field six times for spins. None of the drivers suffered no damage and will be able to qualify later this Wednesday afternoon.
Donald Theetge was sixth with L.P. Dumoulin, Andrew Ranger, Gary Klutt and Anthony Simone rounded out the top-10.
