The Edmonton Oilers have signed defenceman Mark Fraser to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Friday.
Fraser, 29, spent last season in the AHL with the Binghamton Senators, where he registered seven points and 136 penalty minutes in 60 games.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound rearguard has played a total of 219 career NHL games, with 22 points and 302 penalty minutes to his name.
This will be Fraser's second stint in Edmonton, as he spent a portion of the 2013-14 campaign with the Oilers, tallying one goal and 43 penalty minutes in 23 games that season.
