The Toronto Blue Jays have activated second baseman Devon Travis from the 15-day disabled list.  Switch pitcher Pat Venditte has been optioned to Buffalo to make room on the roster.

Travis appeared in 62 games during his rookie, 2015 season before a shoulder injury forced him out of the lineup and eventually ended his season.

He finished the shortened season with a .304 average and a .361 on base with eight homers and 35 RBIs.

The 25-year-old won Rookie of the Month honours in April of 2015 after opening the season hitting at a .325 clip and driving in 19 runs.

Travis has been on a rehab assignment in the minor leagues over the past few weeks, making stops in both Dunedin and Buffalo before being recalled by the Jays.
