THE Weeknd and girlfriend Bella Hadid needed a security detail to party at Diddy's private Star Island New Year's Eve bash.
"Most celebs, including Diddy, roamed freely with no security. The Weeknd and Bella were surrounded at all times by four guards, even when they were dancing," said a spy.
"Everyone wanted to say hi to him. Maybe he just wanted to dance in peace."
The couple arrived with Bella's sister Gigi following the Weeknd's Fontainebleau performance.
