SENATORS (18-14-6) AT BLACKHAWKS (22-13-4)

TV: NHLN, SN, TVA Sports, CSN-CH

Season series: Mike Hoffman, Bobby Ryan and Erik Karlsson each had three points in the Ottawa Senators' 4-3 overtime win against the Chicago Blackhawks at Canadian Tire Centre on Dec. 3. Karlsson had three assists and Ryan had a goal and two assists. Hoffman had two goals and an assist, and scored the game-winner 30 seconds into overtime. Linemates Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin each had a goal and two assists for the Blackhawks, who outshot Ottawa 38-27.

Senators team scope: Ottawa coach Dave Cameron didn't reveal his starting goaltender after practice Saturday. Otherwise, Ottawa is expected to ice the same lineup that played in a 3-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils at Canadian Tire Centre on Wednesday. Cameron is considering a split of the road back-to-back set between goalies Craig Anderson and Andrew Hammond. Defenseman Codi Ceci (upper body) and forward Milan Michalek (fractured finger) are close to returning, but will not play at the Blackhawks or St. Louis Blues. The Senators have lost two in a row, four of their past five and are 3-6-1 in their previous 10 games. "Every team [goes] through ruts," Karlsson told the Senators' website. "We've been going through one lately a bit. We haven't been winning as many games as we want. We've been playing some games where, with a little bit of luck, we could've come away with a few points. But we haven't. We've just got to hope that it's going to turn around for us, and we have to keep moving forward."

Blackhawks team scope: Chicago will honor Kane with a pregame ceremony to commemorate his 26-game point streak from Oct. 17 to Dec. 13. It's the longest in the NHL since Mats Sundin's 30-game streak for the Quebec Nordiques in 1992-93. "At first, when they tell you about it, you don't know if it's something that warrants a pregame ceremony," said Kane, whose streak set records for the Blackhawks and American-born NHL players. "But when you think about it and people kind of explain it to you, what records were set and what happened in the streak, it makes you think that it's going to be pretty fun." It was also announced Saturday that Kane will be the Central Division team captain at the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Game, as voted by fans. Goalie Corey Crawford will start. Chicago, which has won its past two games, isn't expected to have any other lineup changes, meaning that forward Bryan Bickell is likely to be scratched for a second straight game.
