Season series: The Nashville Predators defeated the Winnipeg Jets 7-0 at Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 14. Calle Jarnkrok scored twice, and Craig Smith had a goal and two assists for Nashville. Goaltender Pekka Rinne had a 20-save shutout for Nashville, which scored four goals in the first 14:33 of the game.

Jets team scope: Rookie goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, who has started 10 of the past 12 games, is expected to start for Winnipeg, which has lost 13 of its past 15 road games. The Jets are 3-10-0 against the Central Division and did not practice after a 4-1 loss at the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday. In the past four games, the penalty kill has allowed six goals on 18 chances; the power play has two goals in the past 10 games (2-for-30). The road trip, which is 1-2-0, finishes Thursday against the Dallas Stars.

Predators team scope: Forward Gabriel Bourque (upper body) skated Monday, according to the Predators website. He has not played since Nov. 27. "[Bourque has] got a lot of heart in the game," coach Peter Laviolette said. "He brings speed and passion, determination, [he's good on the] penalty kill; all those things are real strengths of his. We certainly have missed him and what he brings to the table, so it's nice to see him out there practicing with us." Laviolette has not confirmed his starting goaltender, but Rinne has played 11 of the past 12 games. Nashville has at least a point in five of its past seven (4-2-1).
