PHILADELPHIA -- Brayden Schenn had a goal and two assists, and the Philadelphia Flyers ended a three-game losing streak with a 4-3 win against the Montreal Canadiens at Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday.
Shayne Gostisbehere and Sean Couturier each had a goal and an assist, Wayne Simmonds scored, and goaltender Michal Neuvirth made 21 saves for the Flyers (16-15-7).
The win was the Flyers' first at home after being swept in three games in California coming out of the Christmas break.
Alex Galchenyuk, Brendan Gallagher and Daniel Carr scored for the Canadiens (22-16-3), who went 3-5-0 on their eight-game road trip. Ben Scrivens made 27 saves.
The Canadiens trailed 4-2 when Carr scored with 56.2 seconds remaining. Video review showed Carr stuffed the rebound of a Lars Eller shot inside the right post and over the goal line.
Couturier's goal at 5:41 of the third period gave the Flyers the 4-2 lead. Nick Schultz's shot missed the net, bounced off the end boards and landed in the crease, and Couturier tapped it in.
Two second-period goals gave the Flyers the lead. Gostisbehere's slap shot beat Scrivens to the stick side at 3:20 to put Philadelphia ahead 2-1. At 8:12 of the period, Simmonds tipped Gostisbehere's slap shot from the left point past Scrivens on the power play.
Gallagher's goal with 2:57 left in the second got the Canadiens within 3-2.
Schenn opened the scoring when he scored off a breakaway at 5:06 of the first period. Galchenyuk tied the game at 14:14 of the first when he tipped a long shot from Mark Barberio past Neuvirth.
