REGINA - The Saskatchewan Roughriders accepted the resignation of defensive co-ordinator Greg Quick on Friday.

He was hired last January after spending one season as linebackers coach of the Montreal Alouettes.

The Riders allowed a league-worst 563 points last season and finished last in the West Division standings at 3-15.

Quick, 59, has over 30 years of coaching experience at the professional and college levels. He plans to pursue other football opportunities, the Riders said in a release.
