Recently single Courteney Cox was spotted out with Will Arnett Tuesday night –but don't assume there's a new romance brewing.

A source tells PEOPLE "they're just friends."

 

Cox, 51, and Arnett, 45, enjoyed dinner at The Palm restaurant in Beverly Hills, where they attempted to remain low key as they left separately, with the actress eventually picking up Arnett down the street.

Cox recently ended her engagement to Johnny McDaid. The Cougar Town actress and the Snow Patrol guitarist had been "having problems for a long time," a source told PEOPLE about the split.

The actress hasn't let the recent breakup bring her down, with a beaming Cox spotted enjoying dinner with her daughter Coco and a friend earlier this month. An onlooker told PEOPLE at the time that Cox "was in the best mood ever" during the outing.

Arnett split from ex-wife Amy Poehler in 2012.
