Season series: The Pittsburgh Penguins are going for a three-game sweep of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Marc-Andre Fleury made 21 saves in a 4-0 victory at Air Canada Centre on Oct. 31; Olli Maatta's goal at 6:28 of the first period proved to be the game-winner in a 2-1 victory at Consol Energy Center on Oct. 17.

Maple Leafs team scope: Toronto is playing its second game in as many nights and its final game of 2015. Goalie James Reimer, who hasn't started since Dec. 3 because of a lower-body injury, could get the start; he played the third period after Jonathan Bernier allowed six goals on 15 shots in a 6-3 loss against the New York Islanders on Tuesday. "Forget about that one and go to work [Wednesday] and play against a good team with some solid players," Maple Leafs forward Shawn Matthias said. "It'll be tough, but we need to turn things around nice and quickly."

Penguins team scope: Defenseman Kris Letang practiced Tuesday and could be back in the lineup. Letang has played three games this month because of various injuries. He left the Penguins' 3-1 win Saturday at the Minnesota Wild after being hit by Jarrett Stoll and did not feel well when he woke up Sunday. Letang was kept out of the game that night against the Winnipeg Jets as a precaution. "Kris' health is our first priority," coach Mike Sullivan told the Penguins website Tuesday. "That was the reasoning behind the decision to hold him out in Winnipeg. That is the first priority for this team, his personal health." Center Matt Cullen did not practice Tuesday, which was termed a maintenance day. Goalie Matthew Murray is likely to start; he has allowed three goals in winning his past two games.
