Montreal Canadiens forward Devante Smith-Pelly will not play against the New York Islanders on Sunday at Bell Centre (7 p.m. ET; NHLN-US, SN, MSG+, RDS) because of a lower-body injury.
Smith-Pelly, 23, has a goal and five assists in 21 games. He was acquired from the Anaheim Ducks on Feb. 24 for forward Jiri Sekac.
The Canadiens are also missing forward Torrey Mitchell and defenseman Alexei Emelin, each with lower-body injuries.
Forward Bud Holloway was recalled from St. John's of the American Hockey League. Holloway has five goals and 20 points in 18 games with the IceCaps.
