JETS (7-3-1) at CANADIENS (10-2-0)

TV: NHLN, SN, RDS

Season series: The Montreal Canadiens and Winnipeg Jets split their two games in 2014-15, with each team winning at home. Montreal goaltender Carey Price had a 29-save shutout in a 3-0 win on Nov. 11, 2014 at Bell Centre. Winnipeg won the rematch 5-2 at MTS Centre on March 26.

Jets team scope: Winnipeg, 3-1-0 in its past four games, continues its four-game road trip with its second game in as many nights; the Jets are 2-0-0 in the second half of back-to-backs. Coach Paul Maurice has not confirmed a starting goaltender for Sunday, but Ondrej Pavelec played in a 3-2 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday, meaning that Michael Hutchinson could get the call. Anthony Peluso replaced rookie Nic Petan on the fourth line Saturday. Petan is likely to return to the lineup Sunday. Forward Blake Wheeler has three goals and four assists in his past six games; linemate Bryan Little has two goals and four assists in his past four games. Each had a goal and an assist on Saturday. Seven of the Jets' next eight games will be on the road, including Wednesday at the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Canadiens team scope: Montreal starts a four-game homestand after a travel day following a 1-2-0 road trip to Western Canada that ended with a 6-2 win against the Calgary Flames. "We needed a win, and we got a complete effort. A lot of guys chipped in," said forward Dale Weise, who had the first three-goal game of his NHL career. Coach Michel Therrien has not announced a starting goaltender for Sunday; backup Mike Condon played in a 6-2 win against the Calgary Flames on Friday that ended a two-game losing streak. Forward Alexander Semin has been a healthy scratch for the past two games, and his status for Sunday remains unknown. Forward Torrey Mitchell has three goals and two assists in his past five games. Seven of the Canadiens' next eight games are at home.
