Ryan Reynolds is already grooming his baby girl, James, for a job in the sky or behind the counter at Starbucks.
As odd as those careers may sound for the daughter of someone who earns millions of dollars by acting, the 38-year-old "Woman in Gold" star says he just wants his 3-month-old daughter to have a normal life.
"I worry that my daughter's going to want to go into show business," Reynolds told NBC's "Today" in an interview that aired Wednesday.
"You know, you worry about really stupid stuff," Blake Lively's husband admitted. "And you sorta sit there and go, 'Oh gosh, is she gonna wanna do this?' I like to whisper in her ear, like, really normal everyday jobs."
Among his chosen professions are a flight attendant and a barista.
In addition to avoiding a career on screen, Reynolds joked that he doesn't want James to become a scantily clad Dallas Cowboys cheerleader either. "Although I imagine it's an exciting job," he quipped.
The proud father and his wife, 27, have mostly kept quiet about the birth of their child. The "Today" interview was the first time he publicly confirmed his daughter's name.
