Wanna see The Walking Dead badass Daryl Dixon and some other famous faces channel their inner (indie) rock star?
To promote their new album No Cities to Love, female indie rock trio Sleater-Kinney recruited a motley crew of stars for a sing-along video, which was released on Thursday. The roster includes Norman Reedus, who plays Dixon on the AMC zombie series, former My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way, Ellen Page, Nashville's Connie Britton, Evan Rachel Wood, Orange Is the New Black's Natasha Lyonne, Fred Armisen, Andy Samberg, Saturday Night Live's Vanessa Bayer and comedienne Sarah Silverman,
The celebs appear by themselves and sing and rock out to the album's title track, also called "No Cities to Love."
Some celebs, like Reedus, appear to be filmed on a webcam. Britton is seen in front of a wall with the word "Nashville" painted on it in red, white and blue.
Page rocks out on a hill overlooking the Hollywood sign and Silverman sings while a cute border collie mix dog licks her hand. Armisen is shown performing on a keyboard on a subway platform. Sleater-Kinney members Corin Tucker, Janet Weiss and Carrie Brownstein, the latter of whom appears with Armisen on the IFC show Portlandia, also star in the video.
Sleater-Kinney's new album is their eighth studio record and first major release in almost 10 years. It hits stores on Jan. 20. The Washington state-based band is also planning to embark on a tour, starting in February.
Reedus, a former model, has appeared in several music videos over the past few years, including "Judas" by Lady Gaga, "Cats in the Cradle" by Ugly Kid Joe, "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead and "Violently Happy" by Björk.
