JETS (21-14-7) at DUCKS (26-10-6)

TV: TSN3, PRIME

Season series: The Anaheim Ducks won the first two games against the Winnipeg Jets, each at MTS Centre. Ryan Getzlaf leads the Ducks with five points (one goal), including the primary assist on Kyle Palmieri's overtime goal in a 4-3 victory Dec. 7.

Jets team scope: Winnipeg ended a two-game skid with a 5-4 shootout win against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. The Jets scored three goals in the first 6:39 of the game to jump out to a 3-0 lead, then watched the Kings score four unanswered goals to go ahead early in the third period. Defenseman Zach Bogosian, playing his second game since Dec. 3 after missing 14 because of a lower-body injury, sent the game into overtime when he scored his first goal of the season with 5:56 left in regulation. "I didn't like parts of our second period, but it's tough to win on the road and that's a good win for our hockey club," coach Paul Maurice said. "A little confidence-builder for us to come from behind, even though we took the lead into the third, but then to give it up, to come back, to stay with it." Forward Mathieu Perreault scored Winnipeg's first goal, giving him a goal in two straight and seven in his past 10 games.

Ducks team scope: Coach Bruce Boudreau had Anaheim practice longer than usual Friday. "I told the guys today that their will and character have carried them a little bit in the last 10 games," Boudreau said after the practice, according to the Ducks website. "We're slipping in a lot of the little things that we were doing that were making us a really good team. We have to get back to it." Defenseman Eric Brewer, who has not played since Dec. 1 because of a foot injury, is expected to resume skating in the next few days. Anaheim is 3-2-1 in its past six games and 4-3-1 in its past eight. The NHL announced Saturday that Getzlaf has been selected to the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Game, his third. The Ducks will retire Teemu Selanne's No. 8 in a pregame ceremony. Selanne, who played 966 of his 1,451 NHL games in two stints with Anaheim, is the Ducks' all-time leader in goals (457), assists (531), points (988), plus/minus (plus-120), power-play goals (182), game-winning goals (77), overtime goals (6) and shots on goal (2,964).
