Those of you holding your breath for Taylor Swift's rumored starring role as Joni Mitchell in an upcoming movie can give it up now.

Mitchell says — with some obvious relish — that she told the producers of the film to take a hike.

"I squelched that! I said to the producer, 'All you've got is a girl with high cheekbones,'" she told The Sunday Times newspaper (via NME). "It's just a lot of gossip, you don't have the great scenes."

Swift really does resemble Mitchell back in the day.
