QUEBEC - Dmytro Timashov was the difference on Friday night for the Quebec Remparts.

Timashov scored two of the Remparts three third-period goals and added three assists in their 5-3 win over the Shawinigan Cataractes in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Marc-Olivier Roy also had two goals while Guillaume Gauthier added another and picked up three assists for Quebec (12-5-0).

James Phelan, Dennis Yan and Anthony Beauviller chipped in for the Cataractes (8-9-2).

Eric Brassard turned aside 30 shots in the win while Marvin stopped 25-of-29 shots for Shawinigan.

The Remparts scored once on five power-play attempts while Cataractes were unsuccessful on two chances.

WILDCATS 7 ISLANDERS 4

MONCTON, N.B. — Conor Garland and Will Smith each had a pair of goals as the Wildcats toppled Charlottetown.

Alexandre Jacob, Ivan Barbashev and Zachary Malatesta also scored for Moncton (10-7-0), which had five second-period goals.

Daniel Sprong struck twice for the Islanders (8-8-2), with Chris Chaddock and Filip Rydstrom rounding out the attack.

VOLTIGEURS 3 OCEANIC 2

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Cedric Montminy scored at 17:12 of the third period on the power play as the Voltigeurs got by Rimouski.

It was the second of Montminy's two goals on the night with Alexandre Grand-Maison picking up the other Drummondville (8-6-2) goal.

Simon Tremblay and Vincent Dunn replied for the Oceanic (13-5-1).

BAIE-COMEAU, N.B. — Bokondji Imama had two goals and an assist as the Drakkar downed Chicoutimi.

Vincent Lavoie, Antoine Pouliot, Nicolas Meloche, Luca Ciampini and Maxime St-Cyr also had goals for Baie-Comeau (12-5-1).

Samuel Hodhod, Landon Schiller, Jeremy Bouchard and Nicolas Roy found the back of the net for the Sagueneens (6-10-1).

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Francis Perron and Antoine Waked had third-period goals to lead the Huskies past Acadie-Bathurst.

Alexandre Fortin and Mathieu Lemay rounded out the offence for Rouyn-Noranda (10-7-0).

Christophe Boivin scored his fifth goal of the year in the third period for the Titan (5-12-1).
