Toronto Maple Leafs forward David Booth has a fractured foot and will be out four weeks, coach Randy Carlyle said Monday, according to the National Post.
Carlyle said forward David Clarkson has a fractured orbital bone but is expected back by the end of the week, and defenseman Cody Franson has a bruised knee but the Maple Leafs are waiting for the swelling to subside before offering a further diagnosis.
Carlyle said defenseman Henrik Tallinder, who was in training camp on a professional tryout contract, has left the Maple Leafs because of a separated shoulder.
Booth and Franson were injured in Toronto's preseason game against the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday. Clarkson and Tallinder were hurt Friday in a preseason game against the Sabres.
Booth sustained his injury blocking a shot. Franson was hurt on a hit from Buffalo forward Torrey Mitchell.
Clarkson was injured during a fight with Sabres forward Cody McCormick. Tallinder was injured when he was hit into the boards by Sabres defenseman Mike Weber.
