GLASGOW — Canada’s Jennifer Abel won a gold medal Friday at the Commonwealth Games by taking top spot in the women’s one-metre springboard event.
Abel, from Laval, Que., finished first with 287.25 points.
Maddison Keeney won silver with 281.95 points and fellow Australian Esther Qin earned bronze with 278.65 points.
It was Abel’s second medal in Glasgow.
She won a silver in the three-metre springboard with Pamela Ware of Beloeil, Que., earlier in the Games.
