{allcanada} Statistical Advance: Analyzing The ICAR Lucas Oil Grand Prix At Circuit ICAR

 

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series takes to the road once again in the ICAR Lucas Oil Grand Prix presented by Budweiser at Circuit ICAR in Mirabel, Que. The race is scheduled to take the green flag on Sunday, June 3 at 1:30 p.m. ET. Below is a statistical look at the recent performance of selected drivers at ICAR, as well as some other statistical trends:

Circuit ICAR Race Setup
• Robin Buck, last year's ICAR winner, has scored a top-10 finish in six of his last seven series starts – all on road courses.
• Andrew Ranger looks for his first ICAR win to go along with his six previous NASCAR Canadian Tire Series victories in his native Quebec.
• Six of J.R. Fitzpatrick's seven series career wins have come on road courses.
• L.P. Dumoulin, who finished fourth last season at Circuit ICAR, has a streak of four consecutive top-10 finishes in road courses.

NASCAR Canadian Tire Series At Circuit ICAR
• This is the series' second to the 15-turn, 2.113-mile road course set up on the grounds of the Mirabel Airport.
• The race's television premier is scheduled for Saturday, June 16 at 12:30 p.m. ET on TSN and Wednesday, June 27 at 10 p.m. ET on RDS2.
• The ICAR Lucas Oil Grand Prix presented by Budweiser is 102 kilometers in length.
• This is the second straight season that ICAR has been the second event on the schedule.
• Last year, there were four caution periods for nine laps.
• The first caution came at Lap 3 while the last came at Lap 28.
• Polesitter Alex Tagliani finished eighth and race winner Robin Back started seventh.
• There were six official lead changes involving four drivers in last year's race.
