Chase Schaber had a hat trick and Brandon Ranford added four assists as the Kamloops Blazers beat the Victoria Royals 4-3 in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.
Blazers winger JC Lipon had the other goal for Kamloops (17-7-1), while goalie Cole Cheveldave made 26 saves.
Royals left winger Jamie Crooks scored twice and Logan Nelson added a single for the Royals (11-15-1).
Elsewhere in the WHL it was: Vancouver 4 Moose Jaw 3 (SO); Edmonton 4 Spokane 1; Lethbridge 3 Red Deer 1; and Seattle 4 Swift Current 2.
At Victoria, Kamloops opened the scoring midway through the first when centre Schaber's pass bounced off a Royals defender and into the net.
The Royals tied the game near the 15-minute mark on a broken play, as Crooks pounced on the puck and snapped a shot low glove side on Cheveldave.
Schaber and Crooks traded their second goals of the game in the second.
Schaber put the Blazers up 2-1 on a one-timer off a cross-ice pass from Ranford, but Crooks tied the game a few minutes later with a backhanded tally.
Royals star forward Kevin Sundher got the second assist on the goal, moving him into first all-time for Royals/Chilliwack Bruins franchise points at 218.
Schaber's game-winning third goal came just over five minutes into the final period on a breakaway.
Lipon added his ninth goal of the season late in the game to seal the deal.
Keith Hamilton also finished with 26 saves for Victoria.

At Moose Jaw, Sask., Matt Bellerive scored the only goal in the fifth round of the shootout as Vancouver (17-9-2) recovered to beat the Warriors (16-8-3).
