After quarterbacks Buck Pierce and Alex Brink were both injured last Saturday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are set to add pivot Michael Bishop to their practice roster.
Bishop is expected to arrive in Winnipeg today, but he will not practice until Thursday.
Pierce left the game on Saturday in Toronto with bruised ribs. Brink was forced out of the game with a shoulder injury.
Bishop, 35, was most recently on a CFL roster in July, when he was signed by the Calgary Stampeders as a back-up to Henry Burris. He did not appear in any games before being released by the Stampeders in early August.
The Blue Bombers (8-4) lead the East Division by one game over the Montreal Alouettes (7-5), with the two teams set for a showdown in Winnipeg on Wendy's Friday Night Football at 7pm et/4pm pt. You can also see the game on TSN.ca and TSN Mobile TV.
