TORONTO -- Forward Tanner Pearson of the Barrie Colts was named the Canadian Hockey League's player of the week on Tuesday.
Pearson scored five goals and three assists for eight points in two games with Ontario's Hockey League's Colts.
Barrie is undefeated in the young season after a 7-4 win over the Kingston Frontenacs and a 3-1 victory over the Brampton Battalion.
The 19-year-old Pearson is playing in his second OHL season with the Colts after recording 42 points in 66 games last season.
QMJHL defenceman Mikael Tam of the Quebec Remparts and forward Adam Hughesman of the Tri-City Americans of the WHL were also considered for the award.
