WASHINGTON -- Canadian Dwayne De Rosario has been added to the inactive roster for this week's MLS all-star game.

The Toronto-born midfielder for D.C. United joins five other inactive players selected through a player voting process, rounding out the squad of 32 ahead of Wednesday's game against English Premier League powerhouse Manchester United.

It's De Rosario's sixth trip to the all-star game, having also represented the Houston Dynamo and Toronto FC.

Also voted in by the players for the game at New York's Red Bull Arena was Vancouver striker Eric Hassli.

The Frenchman has eight goals in 14 MLS games this season.

Under the league's collective bargaining agreement, 32 players are named annually to the all-star team, though not all players can dress for the game.

De Rosario was acquired by United on June 27 from the New York Red Bulls in exchange for midfielder Dax McCarty. De Rosario came to New York via a trade with Toronto early in the 2011 season.

He has a combined five goals and six assists so far this season.

Other players rounding out the MLS roster Monday were Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Juninho, Seattle midfielder Osvaldo Alonso, New York midfielder Joel Lindpere and goalie Nick Rimando of Real Salt Lake.
