Tyson Teichmann made 34 saves as the Belleville Bulls upset the Kitchener Rangers 3-0 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.
It was Teichmann's first career OHL shutout, and it came on the same night Dylan Corson scored his first OHL goal. Stephen Silas and Alex Basso also scored for the Bulls (19-38-4).
The Bulls moved two points up on the Peterborough Petes in the race for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Mike Morrison stopped 23 shot for Kitchener (38-17-7).
Elsewhere in the OHL it was: Niagara 10 Sarnia 3; Mississauga 4 Oshawa 3; Plymouth 6 Windsor 2; and Owen Sound 4 Peterborough 1.
At Belleville, the Bulls opened the scoring in the first when Corson skated down on a 2-on-1 and wristed a shot to the short side.
Kitchener outshot the Bulls 13-2 in the second frame but it was the Bulls that managed to find the back of the net. Silas let a one-timer go from the point that found its way in to the top corner.
Basso extended the lead in the third when he stepped over the blue-line and let a cannon go that snuck through Morrison.
The Rangers looked to have broke Teichmann's shutout bid shortly after that, but the goal would be disallowed for being kicked in.
