DENVER -- Canadian snowboarder Zach Stone is two-for-two since his return to the sport.
The Collingwood, Ont., native, snowboarding again this season after a two-year break, was second in a World Cup big air event Thursday, stepping onto the podium for the second time in as many contests.
"I'm super stoked and don't really know what to say," Stone said in a release. "I'm happy that I stayed on my feet."
The 19-year-old, who had captured a silver medal at the snowboard world championships 12 days earlier, landed a backside 1260 and a backside 1080 double cork to score 50.8 points in the finals to take second place.
Rocco Van Straten of the Netherlands won gold, while Michael Macho of Austria was third.
Robby Balharry of Canmore, Alta., finished fifth.
