required (I recently got one), but that neither of my Harman Kardon
AVR's has HDMI inputs or BD decoders. so what will I get if I get this
Tom Petty disc? DTS or Dolby Digital thru the optical patch at best if
even that. So an AVR upgrade in addition to a player is necessary.
What's worse for me, is the superior surround system (in terms of
speakers) is not the one with the TV and Bluray player..so i'd have to
get another Bluray player and upgrade a second AVR to play a Blueray
disc upstairs and downstairs...or invest in a bluray burner to make a
DVD-A clone for the second system.....I figure by the time I'm done
all that upgrading, Blueray will be passe and a new superior format
called Beta tape will be established......then a trip to my attic will
be all that's required to upgrade......<sigh>
