Thomas Nesbitt scored the go-ahead goal midway through the second period and added an assist Friday as the Ottawa 67's topped the Belleville Bulls 4-1 in the Ontario Hockey League.
Nesbitt outmuscled Alex Basso for the puck in the corner before holding off the Bulls' defenceman and beating rookie goaltender Malcolm Subban.
"I was looking to pass," said Nesbitt, who helped the 67's (19-9-0) to their fourth straight win and eighth triumph in the past nine. "(Subban's) a great goalie, so I don't think he even saw it."
Travis Gibbons also had a goal and an assist for Ottawa, while rookie Sean Monahan and Dalton Smith, into an empty net, also scored.
Petr Mrazek stopped 38 shots to win his eighth consecutive decision for the 67's.
Luke Judson, on the power play, had the lone goal for the Bulls (9-18-2).
Belleville, coming of Thursday's 8-6 victory at Peterborough, lost for the second time in three outings.
Subban, the younger brother of Montreal Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban, finished with 32 saves, including a few odd-man rushes and breakaways.
Elsewhere in the OHL it was: Sarnia 6, Niagara 5; Plymouth 3, Owen Sound 2; Oshawa 4, Guelph 2; Peterborough 4, Kingston 3 (SO); Erie 2, Kitchener 1 (OT); Mississauga 4, London 1; Sault Ste. Marie 5, Barrie 2; and Brampton 3, Sudbury 2.
At Ottawa, Subban also stopped a first-period penalty shot attempt from Ottawa's Remy Giftopoulos.
The teams meet again Saturday night at Belleville.

At Sarnia, Ont., Kale Kerbashian had a four-point night, scoring twice and adding two assists as the Sting edged Niagara.
Nail Yakupov and Joe Rogalski each had a goal and two assists for Sarnia (12-11-4), while Nick Latta, and Brett Ritchie had singles. Ryan Strome had his second consecutive two-goal game for Niagara (16-8-3), with Dyan MacEachern, Freddie Hamilton and Steven Shipley also scoring. ---
Whalers 3, Attack 2
At Plymouth, Mich., the Whalers had three different scorers in their win over Owen Sound.
Mitchell Heard scored 21 seconds into the game and Plymouth (14-10-2) never looked back. Swedish junior team hopeful Rickard Rakell and Tyler Brown also scored in the win.
Joey Hishon and Andrew Fritsch supplied the offence for Owen Sound (17-8-2), while Jesse Blacker assisted on both goals.

Generals 4, Storm 2
At Guelph, Ont., Boone Jenner had back-to-back goals, including the eventual winner, as Oshawa sailed past the Storm.
Jenner also added an assist for the Generals (16-6-4), while Nicklas Jensen and Christian Thomas chipped in as well.
Cody McNaughton and Sam Lofquist both had power-play goals for Guelph (10-12-4).

Petes 4, Frontenacs 3 (SO)
At Kingston, Ont., Lino Martschini was the lone scorer in the shootout as Peterborough defeated the Frontenacs.
Adrian Robertson forced overtime for the Petes (7-18-2), while Matt Puempel had one goal and one assist. Austin Watson added a single.
Nathan Moon, Conor Stokes and Corey Durocher supplied the offence for Kingston (15-8-4).

At Kitchener, Ont., Phil Varone had back-to-back goals, including the winner in overtime, as Erie edged the Rangers.
Ramis Sadikov made 34 saves in net for the Otters (14-14-1).

At London, Ont., Devante Smith-Pelly scored twice and added an assist to power Mississauga past the Knights.
Captain Casey Cizikas had a goal and set up another for the Majors(24-2-1), while Rob Flick added a single.

At Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Brett Thompson struck twice and added an assist as the Greyhounds raced past Barrie.
Vern Cooper had a goal and set up three others for Sault Ste. Marie (11-13-4), while Carson Dubchak scored and had two assists. Daniel Catenacci also had a marker.
Darren Archibald and Zach Hall responded for the Colts (4-21-2).

Battalion 3, Wolves 2
At Sudbury, Ont., Barclay Goodrow scored the game-winning goal as Brampton beat the Wolves.
Zach Bell chipped in an unassisted, short-handed goal and Craig Moore also tallied for the Battalion (10-12-4).
Michael MacDonald had a power-play goal for Sudbury (9-18-1), while Brody Silk worked hard in Brampton's end to earn his marker.
