The top-ranked Canadian junior hockey team kept rolling as the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors extended their franchise-record winning streak to nine games Thursday.
Casey Cizikas scored the game-winner and added an assist as the Majors held off the Brampton Battalion 3-2 in the Ontario Hockey League.
Devante Smith-Pelley and Jordan Mayer also scored for the Majors (23-2-1), the top-ranked team in Canadian major junior hockey two weeks running.
Barclay Goodrow and Ian Watters accounted for the Battalion's goals.
Elsewhere in the OHL it was: Belleville 8 Peterborough 6; Oshawa 3 Kingston 2; Niagara 5 Windsor 3; and Sudbury 4 Barrie 3.
At Brampton, Ont., Anthony Peters steered aside 18 of 20 shots for the win, while overage goaltender Cody St. Jacques, making his season debut, made 25 saves in a losing effort for the Battalion (9-12-4).
Brampton took a 1-0 lead when Goodrow scored 10:32 into the first, but Smith-Pelley tied the game with less than a minute left in the period.
Mayer quickly put the Majors up 2-1 with a goal 1:51 into the second, and Cizikas added the eventual winner at 15:47 on the man advantage.
Watters got Brampton to within one on the power play at 12:24 in the third, but that was it for the scoring.
Bulls 8 Petes 6
At Peterborough, Ont., Austen Brassard had a hat trick and Luke Judson added a pair of goals Belleville held off the Petes.
Carter Sandlak, Brendan Gaunce and Andy Bathgate also scored for the Bulls (9-17-2).
Alan Quine, Zach Tatrn, Lino Martschini, Kurt Gowdy, Justin Larson and Geoff Bezruchko connected for Peterborough (6-18-2).

At Oshawa, Ont., Boone Jenner scored in overtime to lift the Generals past Kingston.
Christian Thomas and Andy Andreoff each had singles for Oshawa (15-6-4).
Nathan Moon and Ethan Werek scored for the Frontenacs (15-8-3).

IceDogs 5 Spitfires 3
At Windsor, Ont., Ryan Strome scored twice, including the game winner with less than two minutes remaining, as Niagara downed the Spitfires.
Dylan MacEachern, David Pecan and Andrew Agozzini also scored for the IceDogs (16-7-3).
Eric Locke, Alex Khokhlachev and Kenny Ryan scored for Windsor (15-11-1).

At Barrie, Ont., Samuel Schutt scored twice as the Sudbury Wolves handed the Colts their 10th loss in a row.
Michael MacDonald and Ben Chiarot had the other goals for Sudbury (9-17-1), which has won all four of its meetings with Barrie this season.
Taylor Carnevale, Darren Archibald and Mark Scheifele replied for Barrie (4-20-2).
