{allcanada} RED DEER'S KUDRNA NAMED CHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

TORONTO -- Red Deer Rebels forward Andrej Kudrna was named Canadian Hockey League player of the week Tuesday.

He had seven points (four goals, three assists) in two games last week.

Justin Shugg of the Mississauga-St. Michaels Majors and Philip-Michael Devos of the Victoriaville Tigres were also considered.

Evan Mosher of the P.E.I. Rocket was named CHL goaltender of the week. He posted a 1-0-0-1 record with a goals-against average of 0.96 and a save percentage of .961.

Nathan Lieuwen of the Kootenay Ice and Jack Campbell of the Windsor Spitfires were also considered.

Also Tuesday, Vancouver Giants forward Craig Cunningham was named Western Hockey League player of the month and Mac Carruth of the Portland Winterhawks was named WHL goaltender of the month.
