Casey Cizikas, Devante Smith-Pelly and Riley Brace kept their team rolling on Sunday afternoon.
The line combined for four goals and seven points in leading the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors to a modern-era franchise record in the Ontario Hockey League with a 6-3 victory over the Owen Sound Attack.
Mississauga won its eighth game in a row to establish a club record for the longest winning streak since the team, then known as the Toronto St. Michael's Majors, rejoined the OHL for the 1997-98 season.
That win streak is part of an even greater roll -- Mississauga has earned points in 16-straight games, going 15-0-1 in that span.
"We're not focusing on our records, just the team we're playing against," said Cizikas, who raised his season goal total to 13. "But it has been a fun ride so far and we just want to keep it going."
Smith-Pelly's two goals, including an empty-net marker with less than 30 seconds remaining in regulation time, boosted his total to 15 this season. Each member of the line also had an assist.
"This is our third year with the team," Cizikas said of himself, Brace and Smith-Pelly. "We know what we're capable of out there and it's easy to play with guys when you know where they're going to be on the ice."
The Attack had 37 shots at Mississauga goaltender JP Anderson, who continues to top all netminders in the OHL with a 2.17 goals-against average. Owen Sound goalie Jordan Binnington stopped 24-of-29 shots.
Elsewhere in the OHL it was: Brampton 5 Barrie 4 (SO); Ottawa 7 Kingston 1; Sudbury 4 London 1; Windsor 7 Peterborough 2; Niagara 4 Belleville 1 and Erie 5 Guelph 4 (OT).
At Mississauga, Ont., Smith-Pelly scored a pair of goals for the Majors (22-2-1) and Cizikas and Brace both had singles. Jamie Wise and Joseph Cramarossa had the other goals.
