OTTAWA - Nathan Moon scored once and helped set up two other goals Monday to lift the Kingston Frontenacs to a 4-2 victory over the Ottawa 67's in Ontario Hockey League action.
Conor Stokes broke a 2-2 when he scored on a rebound in the second period and the Frontenacs (9-5-1-0) went on to win for the fifth time in the past six contests.
Ethan Werek and Alan Quine added power-play goals for Kingston, which was playing its fifth of six straight games on the road and rallied from an early deficit.
Philipp Grubauer stopped 28 shots in goal.
"The first five minutes, we were a little sluggish," Frontenacs coach Doug Gilmour said. "(But) it was good, now we're going home to get a little rest."
Ryan Martindale had a goal and an assist for the 67's (10-5-0-0) and Ryan Hanes also scored for Ottawa, which had its two-game win streak stopped.
Petr Mrazek finished with 31 saves.
The game was played on a Monday morning to make a school-day outing for local students, and it didn't take long for the teams to start scoring.
Martindale made it 1-0 just 37 seconds in and Werek and Hanes traded goals before the contest was 3 1/2 minutes old.
Quine tied the game before the first period was over and, after Stokes notched the eventual winner late in the second, Moon sealed the win with a late goal during a delayed penalty call to Ottawa.
"It's fun to get out in front of all the kids," Moon said.
