Dan Aykroyd is reuniting with one of his Blues Brothers.
The 58-year-old actor has signed on to appear in two episodes of stage partner Jim Belushi's freshman series The Defenders, CBS announced Monday.
Aykroyd will play a judge needing help in episodes slated to air early next year. Producers first expressed interest in bringing Aykroyd aboard back in September.
Following the 1982 death of brother John, the 56-year-old Jim Belushi has performed live alongside Aykroyd as Brother Zee Blues, a new addition to the Blues Brothers. The duo also have appeared on two albums together: 1997's Blues Brothers & Friends: Live From House of Blues and 2003's Have Love Will Travel.
Aykroyd will next lend his voice to the animated character Yogi Bear for the film of the same name, which hits theaters Dec. 17.
