CHARLESTON, S.C. -- David Hearn is heading back to the PGA Tour.
The golfer from Brantford, Ont., finished fourth at the Nationwide Tour Championship on Sunday, earning US$48,000 to move up to 21st on the money list.
The top 25 were given PGA Tour cards for 2011.
It's been a long time coming for the 31-year-old Hearn, who played the tour full-time in 2005 and has been trying to regain membership ever since.
Hearn closed with a 1-under 71 in a pressure-filled final round on Sunday to secure his fifth top-10 finish of the season. He made $230,440 on the minor-league Nationwide Tour this year.
There will be at least four Canadians on the PGA Tour in 2011. Hearn joins Mike Weir of Bright's Grove, Ont., Graham DeLaet of Weyburn, Sask., and Calgary's Stephen Ames.
