[SurroundSound] Re: alert Beatles mogg files on the noid

That is just short of an upmix. The Columbia jazz titles Brubeck Time
Out and Miles Davis kind of blue were 3 track masters and the sacd
only had 3 tracks to preserve the true mix, but that was not the
comment. I was merely making the point that the early Beatles masters
do not exist in multi track formats and the first 4 are 2 track mono.
The rockband track are hi tech filtering of stereo and 4 track
masters. Based on the articles on the subject I don't believe they
even had 4 track master and that all mogg's were software created off
material from the new hirez Giles Martin sessions.

Either way nothing before 67 is more then 4 tracks.

Now what they came up with is nothing to sneeze at and the previous
claim that these mogg files are not good enough to re mix has
obviously not listened to these files and based their comments on the
7 disc speration box set and not the glorious files just uncovered.

"These mogg files are the best thing to ever happen to the at home re mixer"
