
TORONTO -- Alouettes quarterback Anthony Calvillo was named CFL offensive player of the week Tuesday.
Calvillo completed 36-of-54 passes for 477 yards and five touchdowns in Montreal's 44-40 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last weekend.
Calvillo, a unanimous selection, also engineered a seven-play, 84-yard drive late in the fourth quarter that was capped by Brian Bratton's 48-yard touchdown reception.
Eskimos safety Elliott Richardson was named defensive player of the week and top Canadian. He had two interceptions, four tackles and one forced fumble in Edmonton's 24-6 victory over Toronto in Moncton.
Lions linebacker Solomon Elimimian was also considered for the defensive honour. Saskatchewan Roughriders wide receiver Rob Bagg was the runner-up for the Canadian award.
B.C. kick returner Yonus Davis was named special teams player of the week. He recorded 244 total return yards in the Lions' 29-10 win over the Calgary Stampeders.
Lions kicker Paul McCallum was the runner-up.
