IZMIR, Turkey -- Canada has wrapped up a disappointing performance at the FIBA world men's basketball championships with a 89-67 loss to defending champion Spain.

The Canadians went winless in their first appearance in the world championships in eight years.

Canada previously lost to Lebanon, Lithuania, France and New Zealand to finish last in Group D.

The Canadians played their third straight game without starting point guard Andy Rautins. The New York Knicks draft pick has been sidelined with a knee injury.
